Khloe – Making choices

Two year old Khloe is free at this time to choose what she would like to do in the nursery. She has a hearing impairment and has recently had cochlea implants put in both ears.

• Khloe getting her own drink? The environment is set up so she doesn’t have to communicate her need to an adult, is it better for her to be able to be self-reliant or should the environment encourage the need for communication?

• Khloe using the bathroom as place to explore?
• The role of the adult in this interaction – did she support Khloe?
